Hey Ann! I hope you weren't as miserable today as I was!!! Thanks for the use of your floor. Dinner was delicious, and it was pure joy to meet Barbara & J. I had a wonderful time, but I think I need to install a tequila excluder device in myself. Something in a functioning sense of moderation might serve me well... well--naaaaaaaaaah!

Barfbags on standby:

Mark slumped into the plastic booth at Denny's and was trying to forget that he had just lost his job, his girlfriend, his apartment, his car, his chihuahua, and all last shreds of his self esteem, and as he looked at the crusted menu wondering what he could buy with his last three dollars, he found unexpected inspiration from the child hanging over the opposite booth who was looking blankly back at him and, as if on some sort of finger-autopilot, was slowing moving the contents from one nostril to the other.

Sleepy, sleepy boy.
You are an AWAKE-FOR-FIVE-HOURS DAY! I don't get
out of bed until at least 6 or 7 PM, and I'm
back in bed by around 11 pm or midnight. You're
an awfully restful day, but a tad wasteful!

I hardly leave the room, unless it's going to

You are a SUPER CREATIVE DAY! I wake up feeling
like I need to write something, so I spend all
day taking pictures, reading, and writing a
whole bunch of crap. Although rare, these days
are ultra productive and I like them a lot!
You're the best! Maybe.

Well, I must qualify it is not witty on the order of Oscar Wilde(but it IS clever), and having been on the Disney ride of the same name the story was not unfamiliar. I did find it diverting and a great change of scenery from other slick mod productions I've seen recently at the cinema. I find myself often watching '70s B-films (Switchblade Sisters is my favorite) to wash away the bad taste of toomuchtoomuch that seems to be the order of the day with modern films. Let's just say we were due for a good pirate flick when the more memorable period costume dramas of recent years have been set in colonial America, the Roman colosseum or sprung from the quill of Jane Austen. (Ok, Quills was an exception). Jason and the Argonauts was super-schlocky, but had a great look. 1963. I saw J&TA at a drive-in theatre in Memphis about 1975, btw.

cg were a little freaky, but not scary to me, and after a while of looking at ambulatory skeletons, it wears thin. they are miles more convincing than the jolty stop-motion animated skeleton army of 40 years ago in Jason & the Argonauts. it was mostly just a rollicking good little film, to me, quite a bit of wit.

i have a problem with the new format it doesn't show the other posts while on the "posting" page. it did however show the other posts while i was at work which i liked, they run '98, and at home we run 2000 and it is very slow to post, and does not show previous posts. does that make sense? anyone know how i can change it to the other format?
